MWC investigator backs COVID-19 vaccine search

27 May 2020

New Zealand scientists have already identified a number of potential COVID-19 vaccine candidates, according to Associate Professor James Ussher, MWC Associate Investigator at the University of Otago.

Associate Professor Ussher (pictured) says he is confident a vaccine will be found as a result of a global effort by the international scientific community, and is very supportive of a local COVID-19 vaccine development programme here in New Zealand.

Related commentary by Associate Professor Ussher appears on the Radio New Zealand website.
