Mr Conor Watene O'Sullivan

Conor Watene O’Sullivan (Te Rarawa, Ngāpuhi, Te Arawa Ngāti Maru) is the current Kaiārahi Māori for the Maurice Wilkins Centre. He brings a strong background in tikanga Māori and community health mobilisation, underpinned by a Bachelor of Health Science and a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Science.

Conor has extensive experience in applying kaupapa Māori health methodologies within flaxroots community settings. Over the past six years, he has led and supported the implementation of high-level scientific research through his mahi with The Moko Foundation. His work bridges Indigenous knowledge systems and biomedical research, with a strong focus on advancing Māori health outcomes and fostering rangatahi engagement in science.
