Mr Peter-Lucas Jones

Mr Peter-Lucas Jones (Te Aupōuri, Ngāti Kahu, Te Rārawa, Ngāi Takoto) is a leader in iwi broadcasting with strong interests in the preservation and innovation of te reo Māori and mātauranga Māori, and indigenous data sovereignty. He has a keen interest in Maori language voice recognition and natural language processing. Peter-Lucas has extensive governance experience through his roles as CEO of Te Hiku Media, Deputy Chair of Māori TV, Chair of Te Whakaruruhau o Ngā Reo Irirangi Māori o Aotearoa and Chair of Te Rūnanga Nui o Te Aupōuri, and as a Board Member of Te Pūnaha Matatini. He was appointed to the Board in February 2022.
