In association with BEANZ, we are excited to announce that the Maurice Wilkins Centre (MWC) biology teacher professional development days are back for 2025!

Start Date 2025 November 3rd
End Date2025 November 11th
venueTaupō, Tauranga, Auckland, Queenstown, Timaru
We are delighted with the speakers we have for this year, and they are all keen to meet with you as part of the MWC’s Teacher Professional Development Programme!
These workshops bring together some of New Zealand's leading scientists to present up to date information tailored to NCEA and the national curriculum. Their stories, knowledge, and PowerPoint resources will inspire us as learners and be helpful in our teaching.
The day will be packed with learning, and if we have time during the day, we can discuss how best to incorporate the curriculum changes in a Q and A session.
These workshops are free to attend for all who can come. Morning tea and lunch will be provided too. You will receive further information regarding the venue before your selected workshop.
This year, our PD days will be at:
- Taupō, 3 November, at Taupo-nui-a-Tia College
- Tauranga, 4 November, at Tauranga Yacht Club
- Auckland, 5 November, at St Cuthbert's College
