Abigail completed her PhD at the University of Otago examining the chemotherapeutic potential of metformin in lung cancer under the supervision of Assoc Prof John Ashton. She is now a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Otago working with Assoc Prof Ivan Sammut, exploring carbon monoxide as a protective agent against doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity. Abigail has been a member of the MWC ECSC since 2020 and is excited to step into the role of chair.
