Events will be posted shortly
6th September 2013: Mass Spectrometry Symposium
The symposium will profile modern mass spectrometry (MS) techniques and applications. We will focus on the use of MS in proteomics research, metabolomics and small molecules, and new technologies. We will end the day with a workshop about current national MS instrumentation, and a discussion about what future equipment needs might be.
Our confirmed keynote speakers are Professor Dame Carol Robinson (University of Oxford, UK), Professor Peter Derrick (University of Auckland), Associate Professor Kevin Downard (University of Sydney) and Associate Professor Bill Jordan (Victoria University of Wellington), all recognised experts on their respective platforms. We will also have a range of speakers from around New Zealand, describing the specific MS technologies with which they are currently working, and some of their pertinent results.
Registration: There is no charge to register for the meeting, but numbers are limited, so please confirm your attendance to Rachael Goldstone by the 30th August (email email@example.com). Please note that the MWC has a limited number of travel grants available to enable MWC investigators, and others involved in MS, from outside Auckland to attend this symposium. Please contact Rachael Goldstone by email at for more information about these grants.
