22nd April 2013: Flow Cytometry Workshop
The Maurice Wilkins Centre is hosting a workshop on Flow Cytometry on April 22nd at The University of Auckland. The Topic is Polychromatic flow cytometry for the characterization of hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic cells for clinical use.

26th March 2013: Group A Streptococcus Vaccine Symposium
The Maurice Wilkins Centre is hosting a symposium on Group A Streptococcus on March 26th at The University of Auckland. Leading researchers from the UK, Australia and NZ will present current data on GAS pathogenesis, disease burden and vaccine initiatives

26th and 27th February 2013: 2nd New Zealand – Japan Joint Immunology Workshop

The Maurice Wilkins Centre is hosting the 2nd New Zealand – Japan Joint Immunology workshop on the 26th and 27th February at The University of Auckland. The workshop will cover four topics; Allergy, autoimmunity & tolerance, Immune regulation & immunodynamics, Immunotherapy and infectious immunity and will feature presentations by leading researchers from Japan and New Zealand. The Maurice Wilkins Centre welcomes attendance by all interested people. There is no charge to attend the meeting and lunch will be provided for registered attendees.

23 November 2012: New ways to image the body¯from macro to nano
Friday the 23rd November 2012, 9:00 am - 4:30 pm OGGB3, Owen G Glenn Building, The University of Auckland,12 Grafton Road, Auckland
Imaging technology is vital to the progression of medical science in the clinic and the research laboratory. This symposium will highlight the new technology being developed to look into the body and its cells, with examples of how it is being applied in medicine and biomedical research. Sessions will move from new radiological and body scanning techniques right down to the design of new molecular probes. International speakers include Dr Daniel Hausermann from the Australian Synchrotron Imaging and medical beamline team.

Future Science Day – 22nd November
The Future Science Day will feature research presentations by 12 senior MWC PhD students outlining some of the interdisciplinary projects being undertaken by MWC students. Other presentations will provide information for early career scientists to progress your career, communicate your science and cover opportunities within the MWC, now and in the future.
